”Immediatley I receive a hail of bullets from the nearby enemy positions. This time I’m hit in the head, more serverly than I was a year ago at Eben Emael on the Albert Canal. I recieve a terrific blow to my head and nearly black out as the bullet penetrates my helmet and damages my skull. Red dots and rings appear before my eyes and I have to use all my willpower to stop myself blacking out.”
